Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
Atlas Foundry ("we", "us", "our") is an independent UK software studio. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and what rights you have, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
We keep this simple because we genuinely don't collect much: our website has no cookies, no analytics, and no forms, and our calculator software runs entirely offline on your own device.
Who we are
Atlas Foundry is the controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@atlasfoundry.co.uk for anything relating to your data, including the requests listed under "Your rights" below.
This website (atlasfoundry.co.uk)
This site does not use cookies, does not run any analytics or advertising scripts, and has no sign-up or contact forms. It is a static page — there is nothing here designed to track you.
Like any website, the server that hosts this page automatically logs standard technical information for security and operational purposes (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested). We rely on legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working as the legal basis for this, and these logs are kept only as long as our hosting provider's standard retention period requires.
The demo video on this site is hosted directly by us, not embedded from YouTube, Vimeo, or any other third party — so playing it doesn't share your data with anyone else either.
The Self Assessment Calculator
The calculator you download and use is designed to run entirely offline, in your own browser, on your own device.
- Nothing you type into the calculator — income, expenses, personal details, or calculated figures — is ever sent to Atlas Foundry, or to anyone else.
- There is no account, no cloud sync, no telemetry, and no analytics built into the software.
- Your data is saved only in your own browser's local storage on your own device, or in a project file you choose to export yourself.
We have no technical means of seeing, collecting, or receiving any information you enter into the calculator, at any time.
Purchases through our Etsy shop
The calculator is sold through our Etsy shop at atlasfoundryuk.etsy.com. When you buy from us there, your order, payment, and delivery details are collected and processed by Etsy, Inc., which acts as an independent data controller for that transaction — please see Etsy's own Privacy Policy for how they handle it.
Etsy may share limited order information with us (such as your buyer name or Etsy username) so that we can fulfil your order and provide customer support if you contact us. We process this information on the basis of performance of a contract (fulfilling the sale you've made) and only for as long as needed to support that order.
If you email us
If you contact hello@atlasfoundry.co.uk, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to respond to you. We rely on legitimate interest (answering a question you've asked us) as the legal basis, and we keep correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to resolve your query and for a short period afterwards for our own records.
Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. The only sharing that happens is what's described above: with Etsy as part of a purchase, and with our email provider in order to send and receive email.
International transfers
Where any of the limited data described above is processed by a provider located outside the UK or European Economic Area (for example, as part of standard email or hosting infrastructure), we rely on that provider's own compliance with UK GDPR safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent adequacy mechanism.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it (right of access);
- ask us to correct inaccurate data (right to rectification);
- ask us to delete data we hold about you (right to erasure);
- ask us to restrict or object to certain processing;
- ask for your data in a portable format, where applicable;
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these, email hello@atlasfoundry.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Children
This website and the calculator are intended for adults managing their own UK tax affairs, and are not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change what data we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
